TRUTH: Your Middle-Class Upbringing Will Keep You Broke As A Joke.

It's time we have the money conversation.

This message won't be for everyone. So, If you're feeling your blood boil by the thought of talking about money, keep scrolling.

Truth: your middle class upbringing will keep you broke as a joke.

The middle class mentality has always focused on:

1. Pay off debt - cuz Omg. Debt is your mortal enemy!

2. Save enough for 6 months. Rainy days come, the other shoe drops, gotta prepare for the worst!

3. Make sure you're putting away money for retirement - plan your entire career for this!

4. Make "just enough" for all of the above. Forget about the generations after you. You just teach them the same thing, right?

Yea. Even if ALL goes well, those are crappy goals. So, like I said... We need to have this conversation.

THIS may shock you - money makes your decisions. Money determines what part of town you live in, what house you buy (if you can buy one at all!), what college your kids choose, if you afford to take your fam on real vacation this year, or do we visit Grandpa. Again! Money decides whether or not you add a side of guac or nah. Ppl pay lip service to God/Faith/Trust. But let's be real. Money (or lack thereof) is making the choice.

Not saying it's right. Just saying it is. I watch people live like this EVERYDAY.

So, I plan to say in public what I've always taught in private with clients - a lot of that rests around money.

How to make it.
How to keep it.
How to stop being ashamed of wanting it.
How to have a healthy relationship with it.
How to trust yourself with more of it.
How to stop listening to people who don't have it give you advice about it.
How to heal from the awful things you've been taught about it.
How to align your purpose with it.
How to make money a tool, not a destination.
How to stop repelling it.
How to stop being afraid of spending it.
How to stop judging people who have it.

All the things. Order the mixtape.

Let's get this conversation started!!!

Signs of Self-sabotage

Quick litmus test. Rate yourself 1-7 with 1 being, nope never have that problems to 7 being Omg! That's me all day everyday!

✋🏽 You are a chronic overthinker - spend too much time chasing the cows in your mind, not enough time building fences.
✋🏽 You are a perfectionist - you refuse to show up 100% until everything is perfect, and since it never is, you never do.
✋🏽 You don't do things you know you know you should because you always need something else to happen first (example- you need to start a YouTube channel but won't make videos until you lose weight)
✋🏽 Negative Nancy is like your middle name. Your default setting is always glass half empty, I'm gonna fail, this won't work, etc
✋🏽 You normalize patterns and paradigms that don't really serve you long term - example: money and success only come from hard work. So you overwork, burn the candle at both ends until you're too tired to keep going.
✋🏽 A lot of your stress is self induced because you don't have boundaries and love playing the martyr.
✋🏽 You judge other people for having the things you want! (fame, money, followers, success, love, etc) and this is worth the weight of this entire post. Cuz most people live right here!

Add up your numbers.

What did you get?

👋🏽 Raise your hand if you scored if you scored above a 20.

If that's you - you may want to take a look at some things.

I'd suggest working specifically on anything you got a 4 or above.

It's time to release that crap! Self-saboteurs can stay in this decade. You won't need it where we are going in 2020 😉

Dream Big: Show Up the Bigger and Better Version of Yourself

Listen up, buttercup!

Some of you are moving into the new year with HUGE goals - I know I am! I spend a whole day with my own coach mapping out 2020, which is about to be the biggest quantum leap I've ever had btw.

Having that container to uncover where my blocks are, talk through the stop signs, tell my ego to shut up, and step fully into my power feels good for me and my business. I do it every year. And every year my business grows exponentially.

Because I create space for it. Having high level support is non-negotiable for me.

We laughed, I cried, did the internal work and now I feel ready to rock. it was a whole vibe. But - man, am I excited about what's coming!!! PS - also hiring a new OBM, so if you know one please have them shoot me an email.

One thing that I know for sure is you are going to have to show up as a bigger, better version of yourself if you want the bigger, better version of life.

Quick Journaling exercise for you:

Write down your 2020 Vision.

Then after it's all laid out, ask yourself, who do i need to become in order to make all of this manifest.

For some of you, you will need to be more disciplined, others will need to be more intentional, others will need to stop letting fear be the stop sign. Some of you will need to stop overthinking and just do the dang thing! Whatever it is...That's the work you need to do.

Cuz we aren't gonna go into the new year with the same negative beliefs and patterns that don't serve us.

Every moment is a holy instant where you can make a new choice.

So... Tell me, who is this new version of you? I'd love to hear 👂🏽☺

FACT: Small-minded people have no business speaking into your life

We ALL know "those people"...

🤦🏾‍♀️ The people who think life should be designed in a "logical" way. Ewwww.
🤦🏾‍♀️ The people who think average, normal, and standard apply to everyone. Yuck.
🤦🏾‍♀️ The people who live life based on lack and scarcity. Man! How sad.
🤦🏾‍♀️ The people who have made fear so normal that they don't even recognize how distructive it is. What a terrible way to live.
🤦🏾‍♀️ The people who think "reality" is a blanket construct that everyone should abide by. Clearly we haven't met - cuz my reality is VERY different than most.
🤦🏾‍♀️ The people who think they know more about you than you do, more about your calling than you do, more about your life, business, desires, dreams, etc... There is always someone. And they are always 100% wrong.

😢 The sad part is - these people are probably not strangers. They are your partner, best friend, your mom, your pastor, your life coach, your therapist, your dad, your neighbor, your co-worker, your associate at church, etc.

So it's not like you can just cut 'em out. But you can set better boundaries.

Here's what you do:

🛑 Stop talking to these people about your moves. Stop making small talk about your small business. And PLEASE stop talking about your big scary dreams with small minded people. Don't do it!

It will just leave you doubting yourself in the end. 😟

They will always have something negative to say. They will always bring the black cloud. And they will always ☔ rain on your parade and have the nerve to disguise it as the "voice of reason". Um... Just no.

And this is why I love what I do. A huge part of my relationship with my clients is me showing up for them as the antithesis of all the above. I've helped hundreds step into their highest and best, most successful selves.

YOU deserve to have it ALL. People who don't believe that won't experience it. Period! You don't need permission to be who God created you to be. Believe that!

Small minded people have no business speaking into your life. Stop giving them an in.

They are just mad they can't do what you do - which is a whole other discussion on mirrors. Let's save that for a different day.

Social Media Hack: Increase Your Online Presence

Give more than you get. Seems simple, but...A lot of people don't get this.

See, social media is tricky! To the naked eye, you think that it's all about the person posting the pic.

But the best online influencers know that it's not about them at all! It's always about their followers.

  1. 1

What do they want to see?

  2. 2

What do they need to hear?

  3. 3

How will you show up as a leader in your industry with your expert content to help them?

  4. 4

    Whatever the answer is.

  5. 5

    That's what you post.

Even my lifestyle posts and my pictures of food will offer some kind of insight.
If you're not getting tons of engagement - it could be that you're not GIVING anything worth engaging in.

So... What should you give?

  • Expert advice.

  • Valuable tips.

  • Usable tricks.

  • Authoritative insight.

  • Transformational messages.

  • All the things!

And I know someone is about to ask me - how much is too much? I don't want to give it all away!

You won't.
I mean... If you can give away all of your industry knowledge in an Instagram post, we may need to find you another industry my friend.

So... How will you give today? What can your followers expect to see?

The Difference Between Workshop, Webinar, Training and Masterclass

Alright, I’m sure you’ve seen this all over the place.

Different entrepreneurs have different names for all of their trainings.

What do they mean?

And what’s the difference between them?

I mean when you sign up for them, they are all so similar, aren’t they?

You get some sort of training video and sometimes people sell to you at the end.

Sometimes they’re free. Sometimes you have to pull out your credit card.

Sometimes they are professional with beautifully branded slides. Sometimes someone is just speaking to you from their bed.

So you would think that maybe that’s the reason they are called a bunch of different things, wouldn’t you?

But that’s not always the case.

Here’s the thing...

Sometimes people call something a webinar because that’s what their coach told them to do or that’s what their favorite online entrepreneur is calling them right now.

Other times, it depends on what keywords are working well. Maybe “masterclass” sounds better than “workshop” so people will overuse that term for a few months until it’s no longer a buzzword.

Or maybe Facebook ads seem to charge more when you want “webinar” sign-ups as opposed to getting people on a “free training”.

It all depends.

But at the end of the day, what’s most important is figuring out what YOU should do in your business, right?

Because not only are you trying to figure out what to name your new creation, you’re also wondering whether you should give it away for free or whether you should charge your people for it.

That’s why you’re in luck because that is what I will be covering in my newest video, The Difference Between Workshop, Webinar, Training and Masterclass.

You can check it out here:

In a few minutes, you’re going to find out exactly what I use in my business and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Go check it out and I’d love to hear what you think.

Don’t forget to like the video if you enjoyed it and leave me a comment. I always read through them because I love hearing from you!
