It's been reported that 80% of people HATE their jobs (yes... The article used the word hate). That's a serious epidemic if you ask me. Especially in the 21st century!
I was telling my mom that sometimes I forget that I used to work a traditional job lol. I don't really remember what it's like to have to get up and be somewhere at 830 am (until I have some early meeting that requires me to sit in rush hour traffic... Then it all comes back to me lol).
I thank God everyday that It didn't take me long to realize that working a traditional job was never going to give me the lifestyle I wanted. I'd never make 7 figures sitting at someone's desk!
Annual salaries are often capped with raised at 1%-8% annually, quick Stat for ya.
As an entrepreneur, I have made more money in the last 2 years working for myself, then I have in the last 10 years combined working for other people. My salary is also not capped, or tied to what someone is willing to pay me for a particular set of skills. I was there. I was grossly underpaid and grossly unfulfilled.
I was not about that life. So I changed it.
Now, I get to determine that myself. I get to be in a position to decide how much money I want to make and when I want to make it. That level of autonomous income resolve is kind of amazing. I am also happier. Probably cuz I get to wear yoga pants and t-shirts every day, but I digress... The point is...
if you are happy with where you are financially, then great! If not, give yourself a raise! Start a business, create a side hustle. Do something!
There are alternatives available to you. I never really understood why people stay where they are when, quite frankly, the WORLD is open to you, and there is nothing but possibility on the other side of your discontentment.
