In Paris & Working!

I'm in Paris...and I am working!

Aristotle said "pleasure in the job, puts perfection in the work." If i could get all organizational admin to understand that concept and deploy initiatives to increase #jobsatisfaction, I think businesses could grow 10 fold. But i digress...

Stepping away from your everyday environment is important!

Creativity needs new spaces, new scenery, new lifeblood.

Get out, live life, make new friends, eat new food, give yourself the gift of a newness every once in awhile. Its important to your expansion. Theres a lot of untapped potential, just waiting to be discovered. A lot of new ideas that need a spark of creation to come to fruition 🌍 ps - as an entrepreneur, its your job to be inspired πŸ€—

In just a couple of days I have already been inspired by so many things and can't wait to get back and implement! Get ready guys...something is coming...actually, several somethings!! EEEEEEEEEK!

The Lens is The Next Big Thing!

I am well aware that being in front of the camera has been a major part of my success as a coach and entrepreneur. When you cant get in front of someone, the lens is the next best thing! Having that as an option lets me share my message all over the world! I've been able to connect with millions, work with thousands and create content that keeps my visibility (and income) consistent. Its a blessing...really and truly.

I also know that it's not easy for everyone. Women are under a microscope enough as is. So any slight insecurity gets blown up when we face a lens and a red blinking light. Everything from weight to hair to foreign accents. My clients have come to me with a cornucopia of cringeworthy reasons why the camera is not their friend.

But video is sooooooo beneficial to your business! The stats speak for themselves:

  • One minute of video is worth 1.8 million words. (Forrester Research)
  • Viewers retain 95% of a message when they watch it in a video, compared to 10% when reading it in text. (Wirebuzz)
  • 78% of people watch online videos every week, and 55% view online videos every day. (HubSpot)
  • By 2020, online videos will make up more than 80% of all consumer internet traffic (Cisco)
  • Users view more than 500 million hrs of video each day on YouTube. (Business Insider)
  • Social video generates 1200% more shares than text and image content combined. (Wordstream)

How are those not convincing?

I'm telling you, its probably the most valuable way to improve your visibility and success in the online space!

Your Expectations!

Personal congruency & the Pygmalion Effect (PE)

PE is a phenomenon whereby higher expectations lead to an increase in performance. meaning, you expect better, you get better? Easy right? Not quite... Because most people's expectations of themselves are extremely low when you break them down to the nitty gritty. This is why so many of you struggle with fear and doubt. Instead of expecting success, you half expect to fail. You expect your investments to tank. You expect your businesses to be broke. You expect entrepreneurship to be hard and a struggle (PS - its not) and people to laugh at every picture you post on Instagram!

This is soooo harmful! Take a look at how incongruent that is with your desired outcome! Do you want to fail? Do you want to be broke? Do you want life to be hard? Probably not.

Then why is that the default expectation?

Answer: cuz expectations are generally governed by historical data...and herein lies the problem! Generally, historical data is innocuous until you assign meaning to it. But.. sometime, in history past, you saw all of what you were expecting fleshed out. Sometimes in yourself. Sometimes in your mom or your dad. Sometimes in your favorite teacher, or aunt, or uncle, or Godmother.

You overheard a conversation that said money was hard to come by (my experience), or that you couldn't do this or that because people who looked like you, who grew up with your background, in your neighborhood, just don't.

And you took all of that data, shoved it in your brain and self imposed all these "facts" on yourself.

If you keep doing that, well...you will keep getting the same results.

You have to learn to see the world through the lens you desire, not the lens you have experienced.

You have to learn to see the world through the lens you desire, not the lens you have experienced. Then...act in favor of personal congruency!

So here is my personal challenge to you: for 24 hours, expect what you want...what you really and truly want. Start small, like with good parking spaces. When doubt creeps in, acknowledge it, but then let it go. It no longer serves you. Report back! Ready? Set? Go!

Dignity in Building!

I made my own perfume!!! One of the most fun activities I think I have ever done! For a couple of reasons:

1. It was very educational. I learned a lot about how fragrance is made, what goes in each note, and why they are so important.

2. It was very personal. My scent is my scent! Based on my nose and my preferences l

3. It was creative!!!! And I got to dig in! Loved the fact that i was able to create with my own hands!!!! And lastly...I did it in #France. Who doesn't love that?!

Here's what you need to know: there is so much dignity in being able to build something with your own hands...whether thats a million dollar business or a perfume, or even a cookie! And its not always literal btw, ideas, thoughts, etc...those can build things too! Go out and build today!

"Idle hands make one poor, but diligent hands bring riches." Proverbs 10:4

Why You Should Celebrate as an Entrepreneur

Why You Should Celebrate as an Entrepreneur

Success Tip: Celebrate what you want to see more of!

That's a quote from Thomas J. Peters. I heard it 12 years ago, and it's stuck... I'm notorious for keeping a fresh bottle of champagne in my trunk at all times. Because you just never know when you need to celebrate with a little bubbly πŸ₯‚ ☺
.
Today, I'm celebrating sooo much!

πŸŽˆExisting clients who are doing the most amazing things, impacting lives, and making tons of money

πŸŽˆNew clients I am onboarding this weekend so they can get started on their path to profit journey

🎈New opportunities that I can't quite share yet... But it's kind of a big deal. I am still processing it myself. But I promise to tell the story soon.

I'm celebrating because I want to see more of it!
Celebration is key because:

πŸ”ΉYou're acknowledging progress which can increase your motivation to keep going!

πŸ”ΉIt feels good to celebrate! So get those endorphins going!

πŸ”ΉAnd more importantly, it creates new neuropathways which contribute to a success mindset. The more evidence of success you see and celebrate, the easier it is for you to truly believe all of your "I am successful" affirmations! Yayyyyy!!! So don't be afraid to celebrate! Even the small stuff is worthy of a cheer!

What are you choosing to celebrate, acknowledge and multiply today? If you write it down below, I can celebrate with you! And, I will affirm and confirm that more of it is coming!

Let me know...
