Like A Boss

Storytime... First, that last bit was a nod to what the kids are saying these days. Lol they slay me!

On to the story. When I was in grad school, we took thing learning test. Basically determines a learning style. 95% of the people in my class were what's called "reflective learners" - meaning they needed time to process, think about it, etc.

I was one of 3 people who actually are the opposite. I am an active learner. And when I discovered this... Ya'll! My whole life made sense. Sitting and thinking about is NOT me... At all!

I don't wanna think, I just wanna do it and figure it out as I go. Now, I'm not saying this is always the right way to go about life, but... I will say from experience, in my own life and the people I coach... Decisiveness is a HUGE contributor to success.

The highest earners are the fastest action takers. Period.

Forbes, Business Insider, INC Magazine - every major publication, ever major guru says the same thing.

Action requires trust. It's easy to say you trust God, but... Actions speak louder than words my friend. Staying stuck, overthinking, all of that... It's a lack of trust more than anything. Trust God. Trust yourself. Do the things.

Action requires movement. You can meditate all day, you can say the affirmations, journal til the cows come home. I teach all of those things. But they are tools designed to lead you to divinely inspired action. If not, then what's it all for?

Action requires support. Idk who told you that you had to do it alone...because I definitely don't teach that! Lol. Get help!

Stop Competing With Other People… Your Only Competition is YOU!

I'm just gonna leave this right here.

We all compare. I mean, we are human lol. And we see sooooo much these days. We are literally bombarded with other people's wins everyday. And it makes us wonder why we can't have it, in the way they have it, at the same time they have it, and at the level they have it.

I always say I'm a pretty self-centered #entrepreneur lol. Meaning, I am pretty good at staying in my lane. I've learned to trust myself, trust God with what He's given to ME! And make my moves accordingly.

While it's rare that I find myself wanting something someone else has, I'm not immune to comparison it is from time to time. But thankfully, I can very quickly snap back to my own version or reality. Because the truth is... I really only want what I am meant to have in the way I'm meant to have it.

You may see other people live at a level you desire, but the truth is, you have no idea what they had to go through to get there.

You have a destiny. You have a level of success that is meant for you. You have a future version of yourself that is greater than what it is today, but if you keep wanting someone else's life, you can very easily get lost in your own journey.

So... When comparisonitis rears its ugly head, here are some things to remember.

>>Competition assumes that everyone has trained the same way. And life isn't that way. You have experiences, gifts, talents, education, etc that, when combined, creates a unique playbook. No one else has what you have in that regard. And you don't have anyone else's.
>>Competition requires metrics. Success isn't always measured in metrics. Only a fool looks at success based solely on numbers.
>>Competition puts the focus on the wrong person (ie someone that's not you!). Use that energy to focus on yourself - stop worrying about what Susan is doing down the street.
>>The biggest thing... Comparison robs you of joy. You get no fulfillment from comparing yourself to others. There's no true satisfaction, other than proving your ego to be right. Comparison is a distraction from what you are truly meant to be in this life. So... Just stop!

You have your own greatness inside of you. Time to let that out!
