The Bad Pancake Theory…

Have you heard of the bad pancake theory in dating?


Lets apply this to your business...

Basically, when you make pancakes, the first one comes out a little wonky. But as you keep going, they get progressively better!

Usually, this is applied to dating after long term relationships. The first person you date is the bad pancake. But, it gets better after that, "they say."

Well, let's apply this theory to business. The first idea you have, the first course you create, the first video you make, the first live stream you do...all bad pancakes. When I say bad, I simply mean, it's not going to be perfect. You're still learning. And there is nothing wrong with that!

I mean sure, it's "edible" - you will be able to sell it, post it, launch it, etc...but will it be the apex of your life's work? 

No! It shouldn't be.

You know how many youtube videos I made before I felt like my videos were actually...kind of good?

You know how many courses I launched before I finally felt like I created my flagship one?

You know how many talks I gave at conferences before I felt like I could own it on stage?

You know how many times I winged out my eye liner before it looked good on my face? 😂

A lot!

But you know what I never did? I never stewed in the idea that any of it had to be perfect before it made its debut. Who has time for that? I have a life to live, people to help, purpose to step into, obedience to walk in.

I kept going.

Perfectionism will kill momentum. And I am not available for that. Instead, I focused my energy on learning what I needed to learn so that it just got done! I can assess after, revamp later, and redo if necessary.

I am where I am today because I wasn't willing to lose to the idea that perfect the ONLY way to do it. 

So if you're spinning your wheels in neutral because you think the first iteration of anything needs to be absolutely perfect, just remember...even a batch of pancakes never start out ready for their cookbook cover closeup the first time.

Besides, who told you it had to be perfect anyway?

That mindset is going to make this experience more painful than it ever needed to be, my friend.

Choose again.

Unlearning What I Know About Money!

I had to unlearn what I learned about money.⠀

Because I didn't grow up with a healthy understanding. I grew up with limiting money beliefs too! But I knew if I wanted to get to where I wanted to go, I'd need to change that. ⠀

so I learned how to think differently.⠀
⠀
So differently in fact a billionaire businessman called me one day and said "Tracy, I need to meet w/ you right away, we need to talk about this!"⠀

I sent him one of my previous money mindset trainings. He was "blown away because [he] had never heard anyone talk about money like this before." (his words)⠀

He wanted to have a sit down with ME!? about money?⠀
⠀
Of course, I am thinking to myself what in the world could I teach a billionaire about money that he doesn't already know?⠀

Turns out, a lot! 🤣⠀
⠀
Over coffee we discussed The Bible and how I integrate my faith into my money beliefs. We talked about what it looks like to live in the flow and why that matters more than anything. We talked about what it looks like to be a vibrational match to money and how that works in his life today.⠀

At the end he said "Wow! This is great! I get it. This makes a lot of sense."⠀
⠀
What's even funnier to me is that he consults with me on things on business ideas and the stock market - how hilarious is that!? ⠀

Someone who has literally made over $1 Billion actually wants to compare $ strategies with me? 
⠀
Meeting with him to talk about money is great! Him and his business partners like to talk HUGE numbers all the time.⠀

Its a whole vibe! And I am here for it! I like normalizing these discussions. It's a regular part of life now.⠀
⠀
This is what it looks like to live at a level that resonates with cashflow. A seat at the table, and a voice in the conversation.⠀

FINALLY OPEN for registration! This is my most powerful money mindset trainings to date!

If you know me, have been around me, or have learned anything from me - you know I have controversial views around life and money. If am honest, I kept those conversations pretty private - mostly with clients and inner circle people...until now.

While most of the things I teach about is around business...this is not.

This my friend....this is about money. The science, the spirituality, and all the things.

Money is one of those taboo things that no one wants to talk about, but something everyone wants.

And if you do admit it, you fear being judged for it.

So we play small and pretend that we don't want what we want. And act like living in lack is a sign of a humble virtue.

Ewwwww.

Where did we learn this?!

What vibe is that?

So, we need to conversation. Full stop.

I've studied this for so long, prayed about it and practiced it so regularly, at this point, honestly, it would be irresponsible for me NOT to teach this ... so...let's get into it!

Epic FAIL!!!

This was an Epic FAIL!

Tried to take these pictures on the 41st floor during a Miami “cold front” – which basically means 75 degrees and windy – and well, here’s the result. Basically unusable collateral that I am still using lol 🤣

Sometimes you plan and plan, you strategize to perfection, you throw your heart and soul into and it just doesn’t work out.

We’ve all been there. Especially in business. Every launch won’t be a success.

Every program won’t sell out.

What do you do when that happens?

Who is helping you handle the hiccups?

Ps…it’s great to have supportive friends/family, we are thankful for them, but if you’re always leaning on people who have never been where you’re trying to go, their support is only gonna go so far, my friend.

So what are the other options?

Do you freak out?

Is your default fear and anxiety?

Do you drown your sorrows in a tub of ice cream?

Whatever it is, don’t judge yourself. You’re allowed to be human. But….what I will offer up to you is the idea that there is a different way!

You don’t have to handle life alone. You don’t have to handle your business alone. You deserve to have someone there for you in the same way you are there for others.

  • If you’re stuck, get a coach.
  • If you’re procrastinating, get a coach.
  • If you’re confused, get a coach.
  • If you’re overwhelmed, get a coach.
  • If you’re overthinking it, get a coach.
  • If you’re not making money in your business, omg please get a coach!
  • If youre starting at the beginning, get a coach.
  • If you’re elevating to a new level, get a coach.

I could go on.

PS. Many people call themselves coaches, most of them are not. They are consultants or strategists. Keep that in mind as you are looking for the right one.

Know which one you need, and find that person! Everything won’t always work out, but you can avoid the residue of failure…it’s just an unnecessary step in the process if you ask me.

🤸🏾‍♀️Let's talk about expansion /ikˈspanSHən/: a thing formed by the enlargement, broadening, or development of something.
 
Something im ALWAYS talking to my clients about. If you're not expanding you're not growing. And if you're not growing, your dying. Expand! Expand often!

Take up ALL of your space in this world! Don't shrink back. Don't play small.

Live life to the fullest and to your highest calling! Whatever that is. It's way more fun!

Loving what I get to do and be a part of.

Especially THIS!!! Does anyone wanna even try to guess what this TV show is about?

I'd like to see what you're thinking hehehe.

There's still a lot that needs to happen to give this project wings to fly... But I'm So excited to bring this to the world with @micheldajohnson @tianniabarnes and @melodysholt.

So for now, we patiently wait for the next steps. Be there will be many 😂

BUT... God has always been faithful and generous and kind and loving. It's overwhelming really. And I am STILL surprised sometimes lol.

I'm so thankful 😊

And I'm also so thankful for all of you! For being invested in the journey with me! Thanks for sending me fun messages during the day as you watched the stories 🙂
